Selous Game Reserve and Nyerere National Park

The northern and larger tourist section of the former Selous Game Reserve was officially upgraded to national park status in 2019 and is now called Nyerere National Park. The remaining southern section continues to be known as Selous Game Reserve. The Selous landscape is located in southeastern Tanzania and extends across parts of several regions, including Pwani, Morogoro and Lindi. Nyerere National Park covers more than 30,000 square kilometres, making it Tanzania’s largest national park. TANAPA currently describes it as covering more than 30,000 km² and featuring the Rufiji River, extensive woodlands, floodplains and wetlands. Lake Manyara National Park

Lake Manyara National Park is a wildlife destination in northern Tanzania, located at the foot of the Great Rift Valley escarpment. The park covers about 648.7 square kilometres and is known for its alkaline lake, groundwater forest, elephants, birdlife and tree-climbing lions. Where Is Lake Manyara National Park? The park is just south of Mto wa Mbu in northern Tanzania, about 125 km from Arusha by road. The drive from Arusha takes approximately 2–2.5 hours under normal road conditions. Lake Manyara is also conveniently located on the northern safari circuit, making it easy to combine with Tarangire, Ngorongoro and Serengeti. What Is Lake Manyara Famous For?
